Performers
Programme
Jan Lisiecki goes all out (once again). The likeable Canadian with the ‘distinctive individual style’ is the soloist in both halves of this concert - and with a work that is not performed very often: Beethoven's Triple Concerto, which marvellously combines fine chamber music interplay with large-scale symphonic architecture. He will be joined by the Academy of St Martin in the Fields, with whom he has already played with great success. Their concertmaster Tomo Keller will take on the solo part in the Triple Concerto, while Daniel Müller-Schott will provide dreamlike sounds in the lower registers on the cello. In addition to the Triple Concerto, the majestic Fifth Piano Concerto is another brilliant work on the programme for this concert evening - a programme that breathes Beethoven through and through.
