The Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen is the perfect choice whenever classics need to be taken out of the dusty repertoire cupboard and rediscovered. When Janine Jansen and Paavo Järvi join them as a dream team, you can experience a powerful sound in the Great Hall of the Alte Oper. Back in 2009, when the Kammerphilharmonie Bremen presented its recording of Beethoven's Violin Concerto with its artistic director and the top Dutch violinist, the specialised press cheered: ‘She plays as if it were all or nothing \<...>, as if she were rediscovering the work.’ We can look forward to seeing what fresh wind the musicians, who are well attuned to each other, will blow through the familiar scores in May.
