‘Polt’, “Well”: it doesn't really take much more than these eight letters to describe a whole cosmos of folk music, dialect and satire, political and local. Gerhard Polt and the Well brothers from Biermoos are quite simply four free spirits who bring their 21st century Bavaria to the stage, sometimes brutally, sometimes subtly. In their current programme ‘Apropos’, they invite you on an excursion into the absurdities of the Alpine regions between ski lift, Alpinismo Tropical, homeland crime, hypocrisy and concretisation.
By the way: at 82, Gerhard Polt finds the adventures of an expedition beyond the white sausage equator increasingly arduous. According to rumours, this will probably be the last time the four of them travel to Frankfurt together ...
