This concert tour is a real labour of love for Konstantin Wecker. On stage, the Munich musician, songwriter, poet and film composer presents the diverse and opulent sound of his great film scores. With his stage programme Der Soundtrack meines Lebens, Wecker also pays tribute to famous actors and directors of the last 45 years. Because his compositions are part of German film history.
To this day, very few people realise how important the Munich musician is as a film composer. Konstantin Wecker (76) has left his mark on dozens of cinema films, series and popular TV films with his music, compositions and unmistakable melodies over the past decades. Who can't whistle along to the title music of Helmut Dietl's Munich cult series ‘Kir Royal’ about the gossip reporter Baby Schimmerlos or has the sound of ‘Schtonk’, one of the most successful German cinema satires of all time, in their ears when they remember the grotesque film about the forged Hitler diaries? Wecker's work as a film composer includes many other cinema classics such as ‘Schwestern’ or ‘Die Balance des Glücks’, ‘Die Weiße Rose’, ‘1945’, ‘Peppermint Frieden’ or ‘Atemnot’.
The audience can look forward to a unique evening: with fantastic film music, magnificent and opulent orchestral sounds and many alarm clock songs, pictures and stories from and about legends of cinema and television films as well as prominent guests who have all written film history together.
