A mere 20-minute walk along Mainzer Landstraße lies between the Alte Oper and the Freitagsküche, a unique location not far from the railway station that sees itself as a mixture of restaurant, social meeting place and space for art and has long since ceased to be an insider tip for going out in Frankfurt. This is exactly where the music will be sent in the second event of the ‘Auswärtsspiel’ series. Pianist Omer Klein, the Alte Oper's resident jazz artist for the 2024/25 season, and his trio have created a programme that matches the vibrancy of this urban place of culture and encounters. Of course, culinary delights are a must on a Friday and, this time, Saturday evening. And so it's not just the music that brings people together on the evening, but also the shared enjoyment of exquisite Mediterranean dishes - the food is included in the ticket price.
