Going to a concert with a baby? Not an easy thing to do, as Hilary Hahn knows. In 2015, the violinist became a mum for the first time and would still have liked to go to a classical concert from time to time - one that is aimed at adults but where babies are welcome. She was unable to find a suitable programme and made a virtue of necessity. Since then, Hilary Hahn has been giving short concerts for new parents with their babies alongside her tour dates. She performs works from her solo repertoire. ‘I don't see these concerts as ‘educational’,’ says Hahn. The only condition: ‘Everyone has to bring a baby to get in.’ If this condition is met, you are welcome to listen, marvel, crawl and experience music together free of charge.
Admission is free, but an admission ticket is required.
