Ensemble Modern

In ‘Melencolia’, which was euphorically celebrated at the Bregenz Festival in 2022, Brigitta Muntendorf has the musicians of Ensemble Modern meet their virtual avatars in spectacular 3D audio landscapes and leads the audience through an incessant stream of instrumental and electronic music into familiar and surreal sound spaces. Following a joint concert in 2022, experimental artist Hainbach and Ensemble Modern are now coming together for a second time in ‘Primer’. Their new project centres on the very individual skills of the Ensemble Modern, which Hainbach uses to create ‘fantastic’ vintage soundscapes with the help of discarded studio equipment and nuclear technology. Multimedia sound art in a class of its own!
